Resilience of nature

there is nothing more powerful than nature coming back to life.

this project returns to my native island of Sardinia. after years away, i took a sabBatical year and went back to a land of extraordinary biodiversity and ancient history.

every summer, wildfires devastate the island. what remains is a blackened landscape of ashes. yet within a few years, new leaVes push through the charred soil, trees revive, and life begins again.

i began to look closer, observing the many ways nature adapts, survives, returns.

These photographs are rooted in the small reality of an island in the mediterrAnean sea, but their meaning extends far beyond. they speak for the resilience of the whole planet.

nature has always survived. it always will. we can wound it, but not kill it. in the end, we will only kill ourselves.

CREATED IN 2024

i will outlive your violence.
